How to keep in shape with back to school?
First off, HAPPY BACK TO SCHOOL TO ALL STUDENTS!
For some of us, summer vacation is over, school is starting again, rainy weather is upon us, the temperature is dropping - overall, fall season is soon approaching! Students will find less and less time to train and instead, their time will be spent studying and working. I include myself in this category! However, this change of season is not a reason to give up and stop all efforts put in earlier in the summer in order to reach your "beach body"!
Here are some advices for you during this fall season:
1) TIME MANAGEMENT
One of the best advices I can give, in my opinion, is to have good time management. Keep an agenda, whether it is electronic or not. Plan your week ahead and keep a consistent schedule to avoid any last-minute changes. Allow yourself a moment or two during your week to go to the gym! Whether it is only a 30 minute slot for your work out, it will be better than nothing! We always say that we do not have time, but exercise is crucial in order to have a good physical and mental health.
2) JOIN THE SCHOOL GYM
It can be expensive to enroll in a gym, so why not opt or the gym at school! Universities have cheap student packages that often include group classes (spinning, zumba, dance, martial arts, etc), access to the pool, the track, the squash courts, etc. Take advantage of being a student and make sure to use the services available to you!
3) FIND A TRAINING BUDDY
It is always motivating to have a friend with whom to train in order to make it more enjoyable. Besides, if you decide to miss a training, not only are you failing yourself, but you are also failing your friend! You need to be diligent when it comes to your training schedule; being in pairs helps with being committed to one another!
Finding the time to rest and sleep is just as important as exercising! With the busy schedules that students have, your body will need to regain energy and recharge. Without this, it will be difficult to convince your body, and even your brain, to cooperate and go to the gym!
Finally, the biggest problem is finding time and motivation! Taking into account the 4 tips aforementioned, you have the winning recipe to find the will to go to the gym! Have a great semester everyone!
