Approaching the 30s...!
I'm not going to lie, I'm slowly starting to freak out due to the fact that I'm going to be 30 YEARS OLD IN 2 MONTHS! [For those of you who are older, I'm sorry! No offense! :P] But hey, let's calm down...I keep telling myself not to panic...not yet at least. In fact, I've never felt this good in my life! I have never trained this much i.e. 5-6 times a week. I also went back to school last fall, and have consequently joined the varsity rugby team. Why not!? All this allowed me to keep my body in great shape and to surpass myself! Every day, I tell myself that I can do the same things my 19-year-old teammate does!
If we look at professional athletes such as Tom Brady (40 years old - NFL football), Vince Carter (41 years old - NBA basketball) or Venus Williams (37 years old - WTA tennis), we sometimes wonder how they are still able to compete and how they keep striving for greatness. These athletes are role models! When we think of them, we immediately think of perseverance, discipline and resilience.
Overall, you are never too old to train or play sports! Just find an activity that you are passionate about, that will make you feel accomplished, surround yourself with people who will push your limits, and adapt your training & activities according to your abilities!
For 2018, my challenge to you is to surpass yourself! You can do it!
